Twitter and SoundCloud sittin' in the sea ...

The business world is a whirlwind tide of ebbs and flows. One minute you can be the most talked about entrepreneur this side of Tobago, the next, you're shit out of luck back to buying Ramen and squandering student loans. 

Such is the case with both SoundCloud and Twitter — two behemoths in their prime, but sinking ships to the world at large now. Twitter can't seem to get new users, and SoundCloud is chasing away the very people that made it what it is today.

So it only makes sense that Twitter would spend $70 million to buy part of SoundCloud. If you're both going down, best to have a partner whilst doing so.
