Facebook's new garden-rooftop headquarters is exactly what we'd expect, ridiculous

Say hello to the headquarters your personal information built. The 11-year-old Facebook moved into its new offices dubbed MRK 20 — because Mark Zuckerberg's picks whatever name he likes — over the weekend that were designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. As you'd expect, the offices are as humble as Facebook is private sitting on 430,000 square feet and adorning a rooftop garden where workers can go and "think." Around the rooftop park is a half mile loop that should surely allow engineers to contemplate what next for your bloviated feed. 

“From the start, Mark wanted a space that was unassuming, matter-of-fact, and cost effective,” Gehry says in a statement, referring to Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. “He did not want it overly designed.”

Of course not. When you put 2,800 employees into one giant facility, you probably want to keep it looking modern and open so they don't assume they're lining up for slaughter. One thing we do appreciate about the new building is the large amount of local artists who participated in adding murals to the walls and sculptures to the grounds. Zuck and friends appreciates the history of the company and Silicon Valley and thus wanted artwork to represent the innovation and billionaire struggles. 

But we digress. We're bitter because we're writing this while sitting on our couch eating baked beans from a can and painting our own walls with sad face murals.
